Eliminate that catty smell

This may be the biggest source of cat smell in your home, so turn your attention here first.

Scoop the litter boxes daily, if not more often. And, of course, get the waste out of your house! Scoop the hard bits and discard in a plastic bag. Knot the end so that smells do not escape. Place in the outside garbage bin.

Use unscented litter. Like air fresheners, scented litters only “mask” smells. Plus, lots of cats are turned off by scented litters and may choose another location for bathroom purposes.  That will definitely make your house stink!

Sprinkle baking soda in the bottom of the litter box. Many people swear by this method to help minimize odours.

Change the litter frequently. Experts recommend a couple of times a month. Also, each time you change the litter, wash out the box with mild soap and water.

Dr Harry likes the Hepper POD

Last year when I was thinking of importing the Hepper POD I gave one to Steve Austin to invite Dr Harry to let him know what he thought. So he made a mention of it on the Better Homes and Gardens TV show and spoke glowingly of it as being especially good for the cooler winter months. Amongst the features he sighted that the POD allows just the right height for the cat to be perched above the ground out of harms way of prying dogs; also allows for a peaceful sanctuary allowing natural warmth.

Interest came from all over Australia and we soon had them for purchase from our webstore and selected stores around the country.

Available in 2 colours, the POD has been a favourite...not only does it look stylish, it is extremely functional.

FLIPS now in stock

  • Hey, for all of you waiting on the fabulous FLIP, I can tell you that they are now in stock.

This product is really well thought out and totally functional.

Possibly the main benefit is that it simplifies the often messy cleaning longer do you need to pick up the tray, empty the contents, hose out the tray, etc.

The FLIP comes with environmentally friendly cardboard liners, so all you do is replace them once a month or whenever you feel it necessary. Brilliant!

Rich Williams, designer of the FLIP, was driven to develop the FLIP when the lightbulb went off in his head as he thought: "There must be  a better way". This forms the basis of his design philosophy.
